We started at Crawford Notch Depot and Mt. Tom via the Avalon Trail, A-Z Trail, and Mt. Tom Spur. Then we continued on the Willey Range Trail up Mt. Field and then Mt. Willey Then we descended via the southern part of the Willey Range Trail to the Ethan Pond Trail. From here, we took the Kedron Flume Trail to the Sam Willey House Trailhead where we had spotted our cars. Its was a beautiful day with great views. There was a dusting of snow on the summit and we even got some flurries on Field Summit. The fall foliage season is definitely over though as most of the trees were bare.
